Word of Head of Departement - College of Medicine
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Peace and blessings be upon the noblest of creation, the master of messengers, and the mercy to the worlds, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions.
The Biochemistry Department is one of the most essential foundational medical departments in the Faculty of Medicine and other health colleges, including Dentistry, Pharmacy, Applied Medical Sciences, and Nursing. Teaching biochemistry courses in the Faculty of Medicine and health colleges is a fundamental pillar upon which medical knowledge is built.
Biochemistry studies the precise chemical reactions occurring within the human body, how they function and are regulated, and how these reactions integrate and harmonize to maintain bodily functions, sustain organs, produce energy, and store essential substances for future use.
Biochemistry is taught through both theoretical and practical lessons across all courses in the Faculty of Medicine and health colleges, equipping students with the ability to build a solid foundation for future medical knowledge in various medical fields and specialties.
We ask Allah Almighty to grant us success in providing valuable scientific and professional knowledge to our students.
