College Board - College of Medicine

 

According to Article 33 of the Higher Education Council and Universities Regulations, the College Council is composed of:

The Dean as the chairperson.
Vice Dean(s).
Heads of departments.
Upon the proposal of the College Council and with the approval of the University President, the University Council may add up to three members from the faculty of the college or the corresponding college branches of the university to its membership, with their term of membership determined.

Responsibilities:

Article 34 of the Higher Education Council and Universities Regulations stipulates that the College Council is bound by the decisions of the Higher Education Council or the University Council. The College Council is specifically responsible for the following matters:

1.    Proposing the appointment of faculty members, lecturers, teaching assistants, and their secondments, assignments, and promotions.

2.    Proposing study plans or their modifications in coordination among the departments.

3.    Proposing academic curricula, prescribed books, and references in the college departments.

4.    Encouraging and coordinating scientific research among the departments and working on their publication.

5.    Proposing examination schedules and establishing the necessary regulations for their implementation.

6.    Proposing the internal regulations of the college.

7.    Proposing training plans and necessary missions for the college.

8.    Proposing the non-academic activity plan for the college.

9.    Deciding on student affairs within its jurisdiction and making recommendations to the University Council for matters beyond its scope.

10.    Considering and expressing opinions on matters referred to it by the University Council, its President, or Vice President for study.
