The university president sponsors the closing ceremony of the College of Medicine and the University Hospital.
Today, Monday, the President of Najran University, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al Khudairi, sponsored the closing ceremony of the College of Medicine and the University Hospital, with the presence of the faculty and staff of the College of Medicine and the University Hospital.
Dr. Mohammed Hanif, the Dean of the College of Medicine, explained that the closing ceremony is a culmination of the achievements made by the college during the academic year 1444 AH. These achievements include obtaining full programmatic accreditation from the Education and Training Evaluation Commission and launching the new curriculum for the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery program. Additionally, the female health colleges complex was relocated to a modern building with equipped laboratories, and the Anatomy Museum at the College of Medicine was established and inaugurated.
Dr. Awad Al Shaharani, the Director of the University Hospital, stated that the hospital has obtained training accreditation for educational and training activities from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties for a period of three years. He also mentioned that the new medical services at the university hospital include the addition and operation of general and specialized medical clinics in the outpatient clinics, as well as the operation of medical clinics at the University City.
The ceremony included a visual presentation showcasing the achievements of the college and the university hospital, including voluntary medical campaigns and awareness and educational activities in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs. It also featured statistics on inpatient care, surgical procedures, emergency cases, outpatient clinics, and support services at the university hospital.
At the end of the ceremony, distinguished faculty members, university hospital staff, and outstanding students involved in student activities were honored by the President.
