Launching the awareness campaign on the dangers of smoking - College of Medicine
His Excellency Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Shehri, the Deputy University Rector for Educational Affairs, inaugurated the awareness campaign on the dangers of smoking, implemented by the College of Medicine in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs at Najran Park Complex. This coincided with the World No Tobacco Day and will continue for two days.
Dr. Mohammed Ayed Huneif, the Dean of the College of Medicine, explained that the campaign was carried out under the directives of His Excellency the University President, Professor Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Khudairi. He pointed out that it includes informative corners that disseminate awareness materials designed to address the health risks of all tobacco products. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the dangers of smoking in general, specifically the risks it poses to lung health and other risks as proven by scientific studies.
Dr. Huneif also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Excellency the University President for his support, sponsorship, and keen interest in such awareness programs. He also thanked His Excellency the Deputy University Rector for Educational Affairs for inaugurating and overseeing the campaign.
